BRIGHT & AIRY FACILITIES

Our Training & Skills Centre offers recently refurbished facilities including classrooms, a meet-up area and an ICT suite. With plenty of natural light, projectors and Wifi, our centre is a pleasant and relaxing environment for you to develop your skills in.

Male and female toilets are available in the Centre. Regards refreshments, learners may use the small kitchen to make hot and cold drinks, or use the Tesco shop below for lunch/snacks.

Sigma UK works closely with local government providers and employers. We aim to support your pathway to work and on occasions we can offer employment opportunities with local organisations. Please keep an eye on the notice board or talk to your tutor/reception for further details of this.

FRIENDLY, DEDICATED TEAM

We pride ourselves in creating a positive learning environment. All of our team are friendly and experienced and are here to support you through every step of your learning journey. Our tutor team are employed by the centre, so you'll see the same faces throughout your course. You'll also have a dedicated point of contact - making the whole experience as positive as it should be.

Our tutors have extensive skills in the delivery of functional and employability skills. Specially selected to support our learners, we consistently receive quality feedback on our provision and set-up. If you have specific requirements for a certain teacher profile, perhaps due to social or religious reasons, please let us know and we will try to provide you with what you need.

Open daily Monday-Friday, 9.30-4.30, feel free to arrange to come and take a look around and to meet the tutors and support team.

MODERN ICT SUITE

Out ICT suite offers approx. 15 workstations with fast-running PCs and all the programmes you'll need to get you skills up-to-date. For functional skills, we encourage learners to spend as much time as possible in face-to-face learning with the tutor team, but we understand that sometimes life can get in the way! Your tutor will talk to you about how to ensure you achieve the required hours for your qualification.

Out of lesson-time we encourage learners to visit us and use the facilities to build on their experience and practice their new skills. Your friendly tutor team are on hand to support you every step of the way.

CENTRAL, ACCESSIBLE LOCATION

We are based at the centre of Walthamstow - above the Tesco by the bus station and tube. We are literally a two minute walk from here, which many of learners find helpful. This means we're very easy to find and will hopefully allow you maximum time learning, not travelling across London!

Some of learners have specific access or support requirements. If this applies to you, please let us know before you arrive so that you can enjoy your experience here as much as possible. We will try and facilitate your requirements as far as we can.

Please be aware that an elevator is available to the first floor entrance to the Centre. All classrooms are located along a wide corridor, and do not have any steps or ridges for access.
